• Windsor Kunstsofftechnologie – Plug X Press

Windsor has developed a series of double or multi-component injection units named Plug X Press which can easily be attached to any existing injection molding machine as a "plug and play" system.
These additional injection units are constructed as modular systems and are composed of standardized individual components as required (depending on the machine manufacturer, the size of machine and the machine specifications). They can be delivered at short notice. Interfaces precisely defined beforehand are the basis for mounting the units to the existing injection molding machine and for executing the required data transfer.

Featuring:

• Plug X Press units can come complete with own drive, control system and operator terminal.
• Hydraulic drive unit with oil tank and two pumps (max. hydraulic pressure 165 bar) compactly integrated in machine frame.
• Mechanical interface via an adapter clamped to the beams of the customer's machine.
• Simple electrical interface to injection molding machine via 32-pin plug connection. All signals floating-contact type.
• Nitrided plasticizing unit.
• Ceramic strip-type heaters.
• Direct hydraulically driven screw.
• Material funnel adjustable to vertical or horizontal injection position.
• Injection speed, after-pressure and plasticization speed are fully controllable.
• The injection speed is divisible into up to six stages, and the after-pressure up to 3 stages.

Options and additional equipment:

• Installation and start-up.
• Adaptation of the enclosure of the customer's machine to allow installation of the add-on unit.
• Safety guards for the Plug X Press unit.
• Plug X press unit vertically adjustable by 300 mm and laterally adjustable by 200 using crank handles.
• The stroke of the hydraulic unit is 300 mm.
• Electrical vertical and lateral adjustment
• Integration of special functions, e.g. core pullers, cascade control for hot channel closing nozzles and interior gas pressure equipment. By this means, even older machines can be equipped very simply with special functions.
• Vertical mounting of add-on unit on the machine's fixed clamping plate. For this purpose, the actual injection unit is separated from the drive unit and fixed with a bracket specifically adapted to the customer's machine.
