HPM Celebrates 130th Birthday by Undergoing 4 Million Dollar Plus Expansion, Renovation and Machine Tools Upgrades
Since 2001, HPM, A Taylor’s Company, has incorporated an “everything you need us to be” approach to doing business. That attitude is exemplified in a number of ways – including a new $4 million-plus investment in a facilities expansion and renovation along with machine tool upgrades at its Mount Gilead, Ohio facilities.
In an effort to increase responsiveness to its customers, HPM has embarked on a program that will add additional office capacity for sales and purchasing along with the renovation of existing office space.
With the increased global demand for the custom machinery that is supplied by HPM, engineering design capacity for injection molding and die cast machines has been increased with the expansion and upgrading of Solid Works 3D. All of these products are designed using Virtual Prototyping Concepts. Critical components are analyzed using FEA concepts to insure the reliability of the products itself.
The addition of a new global digital phone system will allow the Mt. Gilead facility instant access to any of the other HPM manufacturing and sales sites located throughout the world.
Along with the additional office space HPM is completely renovating its reception area and adding an atrium area off of the reception area that will display HPM History, machines, and technology.
In an ever evolving effort to remain the manufacturing leader in the injection molding, extrusion and die cast industries, as well as a manufacturing centerpiece for central Ohio, HPM has added to it’s already vertically intergraded manufacturing system a new fully programmable Nitrex controlled gas nitriding system that has a 30,000 lbs capacity for parts up to 1 meter x 5 meters. This will allow parts that had been sent to outside vendors to be now done in house reducing lead time.
HPM has also added additional machine tools to handle the manufacturing needs of the company, some of which include new turning, and new horizontal machine centers.
Taylor’s Industrial Services LLC is a leader in manufacturing, heavy-duty hauling, aviation and property management.
