MOUNT GILEAD, Ohio, U.S.A., June 23, 2003 – From general purpose through custom projects, the HPM Division of Taylor’s Industrial Services offers an array of extruders and sheet systems.

“ Though we have a wide range of extrusion capabilities, we don’t try to do it all,” explained Gerry Sposato, director of sales and marketing for HPM Division. “We focus on single-screw applications, and are extremely strong in sheet, compounding, high-speed color compounding, reclaim, tubing, pipe and profile applications.”

HPM Division has two extruder lines in the Prodex and theProdex Plus models.

The Prodex Extruder, on display at HPM Division’s NPE booth (North 5507), has a rugged, durable design with a broad range of extrusion capabilities, including small tube, profile, pipe and compounding. It is available from 1.5” to 3.5” OD, and up to 30:1 L/D. The Prodex Extruder comes with the new Siemens Siject™ touch-screen control.

“ The new Siject controls brings a lot more functionality to the Prodex Extruder. It’s definitely an upgrade over the previous control, with no increase in price,” Sposato said.

The Prodex Plus is the customized, high-end line of HPM Division extruders. Often used in sheet applications, the Prodex Plus Extruder is available in 2” through 15” OD, and up to 50:1 L/D.

HPM Division also offers four distinct sheet line systems for various applications.

“ We understand that the sheet maker’s craft is more than machines, dies and peripherals,” Sposato said. “It’s integrating the components into a harmonious system. So, HPM Division emphasizes working hands-on with customers worldwide to develop components and systems that enhance their productivity from beginning to the end of the line.”

The Universal system is targeted for the packaging market, and can produce sheets in thickness from 0.010” to 0.080”, using PET, PP and PS.

The Sheetmaster II is HPM Division’s “workhorse” system, and is a basic, three-roll, vertical stand with chain or individual driver rolls.

The VSHL rollstand is a three-rollstand, with orbiting top roll, producing sheets from 0.5” to 2” thick. Examples of its capabilities include cutting boards, partitions and signage. HPM Division controls nearly all of the North American thick sheet market with the VSHL stand.

HPM Division will exhibits its HGL-2 (horizontal) rollstand during NPE 2003 (North 5507). The HGL-2 is designed for high-quality surface (high visibility and light transmission) sheet applications, such as glass replacement.
